Objective To explore the effect of acupoint catgut embedding combined with qingzhi slimming recipe on blood lipids level and safety of simple obese patients. Methods A total of 66 patients with simple obesity who were admitted to Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Kunshan from June 2019 to October 2020 were selected, and they were divided into the conventional group and the experimental group according to the random number table method, with 33 cases in each group. Patients in the conventional group were treated with qingzhi slimming recipe, and patients in the experimental group were treated with acupoint catgut embedding on the basis of the conventional group. Patients in both groups were treated for 45 days. The body indexes, blood lipids level, fat-islet endocrine axis changes before and after treatment, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment of patients in the two groups were compared. Results After treatment, body mass index (BMI), hip circumference, waist circumference, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC) and Fasting leptin (FLP), fasting blood glucose (FPG), fasting insulin (FINS), insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) levels of patients in the two groups decreased significantly compared with before treatment, and the experimental group was significantly lower than the conventional group; the levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) and insulin sensitivity index (ISI) of the patients in the two groups increased significantly compared with before treatment, and the experimental group was significantly higher than the conventional group (all P <0.05); there was no statistically significant difference between the insulin secretion index (HOMA-β) and the total incidence of adverse reactions of patients in the two groups (all P >0.05). Conclusion Acupoint catgut embedding combined with qingzhi slimming recipe can effectively regulate the balance of body fat-pancreatic islet secretion axis in patients with simple obesity, improve blood lipid metabolism, enhance weight -losing result, and can't increase the occurrence of adverse reactions, and the safety is good.
