Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of intervertebral disc needle in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, and its effect on inflammatory indicators and pain regulatory factors of the patients. Methods A total of 92 patients with lumbar disc herniation admitted to People's Liberation Army Marine Corps Hospital from January 2020 to January 2021 were selected and divided into the control group (46 cases, treated with traditional acupuncture) and the observation group (46 cases, treated with intervertebral disc needle) according to the random number table method, 4 weeks was one course of treatment, treated for a total of one course of treatment. The clinical effects after treatment, pain, lumbar function, inflammatory indicators and pain regulatory factors levels of patients in the two groups before and after treatment were compared, and the occurrence of adverse reactions during treatment of patients were compared between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of patients in the observation group after treatment was 93.48%, which was significantly higher than 76.09% in the control group; compared to before treatment, the scores of visual analogue scale (VAS), oswestry disability index (ODI) and serum C-reactive protein (CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) levels of patients in the two groups after treatment significantlydecreased, the observation group was significantly lower than the control group; serum β-endorphin (β-EP) levels of patients in the two groups after treatment significantly increased, and the observation group was significantly higher than the control group (all P<0.05); there was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions of patients between the two groups (P>0.05). Conclusion Intervertebral disc needle is superior to conventional acupuncture in relieving pain, improving lumbar function, inhibiting the level of inflammatory factors, regulating pain factors, and consolidating the therapeutic effect in the teretment of patients with lumbar disc herniation, which has a good safety.
